The Wrong Ship

I heard an anecdote about a drunk who accidentally got on a cruise ship reserved for a gospel lectureship.

The lectureship vessel was docked next to a party ship.  A preacher scheduled to cruise with those feasting on the lectureship menu, accidentally got on the party ship.

Both men were absolutely miserable!  The drunk did not enjoy all the preaching, praying and singing and the preacher certainly did not enjoy all the sin and debauchery on the party ship!

LORD, I have loved the habitation of Your house, and the place where Your glory dwells.

Do not gather my soul with sinners,…in whose hands is a sinister scheme, and whose right hand is full bribes. 

…My foot stands in an even place; in the congregation I will bless the LORD.  (Ps. 26:8,9a,10,12)

A thought to ponder: 

When you book your cruise for life, make sure you get on the right boat!
