 Grace from charis (khar'-ece); from NT:5463; translated as graciousness (as gratifying), of manner or act (abstract or concrete; literal, figurative or spiritual; especially the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life; including gratitude):

In the King James Version it is used to mean - acceptable, benefit, favour, gift, grace (-ious), joy, liberality, pleasure, thank (-s, -worthy).

Grace has also been defined as “Unmerited favor” unmerited divine assistance given humans for their regeneration or sanctification [Merriam-Webster online dictionary]

 There are great misconceptions concerning the grace of God. Let’s consider a couple of them:

 Misconception #1  - Salvation is a free gift by the grace of God, and God is no respecter of persons; therefore everyone will be saved.

 Misconception #2  - Mankind is saved by grace only and there is nothing man can do to affect his own salvation.  

  Misconception #3 - Once one is saved by grace the grace of God covers everything that one does; therefore that one can never be lost.

 Now let’s study some Bible passages that deal with grace:
