According to my dad, Earl Eccles, he figures this to be about 4004BC
Another note from Dad: To truly create anything you MUST start from NOTHING or it is not truly creation. This makes creation impossible for us because everything we know or think is learned in some way.

Thought Question:
A.
In I Cor . 14:33 it says that God is not the author of confusion. How does the account of creation illustrate this? Do you think God created the world in a certain order for a reason? Please write a paragraph discussing your thoughts and explain why you believe as you do. NOTE: This is a good place to consider all of the fallacies of evolution! All things were created for man. Man was God’s original purpose. God started with darkness and created everything we needed to survive and flourish. I always tell my kids that God had to turn on the light first to begin. He separated the waters with a sky and then separated the dry land from the waters. He couldn’t have created the vegetation before He created the land for it to grow on. Living things needed sunlight and the cooling at night so He created the sun, moon, and stars. He placed living things in the water and the air. Many animals eat vegetation and many land animals eat fish and birds. Man needed all the things for his physical survival. I think if you study the order of evolution, you will find that it is a very similar order to God’s creation in the sense of how the food chain developed. No matter how hard man tries to discredit God it is impossible to improve upon God’s perfection.
B.Why do you think God was displeased with Cain’s sacrifice? Read carefully and feel free to quote scriptures from other parts of the Bible. Hint: Hebrews
Hebrews 11:4 Abel offered a more excellent sacrifice because of his faith. I John 3:11-12 says that Cain hated his brother because his brother was righteous and he was evil. Jude 11 says that those that follow Cain run after profit. Cain didn’t give his best, so we know his heart was not right in some fashion.
C. I would, also, like for you to give some additional thoughts, ideas, questions, or applications that you gleaned from this week's lesson. In your own words, what did you get out of the reading?
Gen 1-4 teaches many things starting with God meaning what He says. Although many want to portray God as a God of love and mercy and grace, He is also a God that follows through when He says something. If one deserves punishment then God follows through on that oftentimes to save a soul. We also learn that God expects our very best in all that we do and that it should always come from the heart. If we have a wrong attitude, God might still be displeased with us even we do what we are supposed to. If we do a half way job, it will often reflect what is truly in our hearts. God also forgives as he did Cain and allowed him to go on with his life showing mercy by not allowing others to kill him.
