Thought Questions:

A. In Job 31:24-27, what sin is Job describing that men still struggle with today? Find some NT scriptures that talk about this sin. Greed, idolatry, worshipping something other than God. I Cor 10:14, Gal 5:20, Col 3:5, I Pet 4:3, I cor 5:10, Eph 5:3-5

B. Who else wrote about wisdom and quote what is said in that book about wisdom?

Solomon Proverbs 1:7, 2:1-5, 3:13 It almost seems as if Job knew Solomon. So much of their writings agree. However, I think that is showing that God’s truths are always right in anytime or place.

C. Thoughts of the writings of Job for this week. This was a longer assignment, but I thought we needed to get all of Job’s thoughts rather than breaking it up. He is oftentimes know as patient, but I think he was more perseverant than patient. He was faithful in maintaining his integrity before God and refused to sin even though he felt he was being attacked. This took a lot of faith on his part. He refused to do wrong even when it appeared that God was no longer with him. His greatest desire was to have God back on his side.
