Introduction to a Chronological Bible Study:

We are going to proceed through the Bible in chronological order (time) so that we can put things in their place in history. If possible, it would be good to create a time line of events. I will try to add historical information about some of the surrounding civilizations that existed at the different times as we go through history. I will assign certain chapters to read and then give you some questions that you can find answers for in the text and some thought questions that require a little more research. Please, give scripture with your answers as often as possible. I would also like for you to give some additional thoughts, ideas, questions, or applications that you gleaned from this week's reading.  In your own words,  what did you get out of the reading?

I will be more than happy to try to answer your questions or help you in any way I can. It is my prayer that you will learn a lot and have a stronger faith  and understanding as a result of this study.

Thought Question:

A.  In I Cor. 14:33 it says that God is not the author of confusion. How does the account of creation illustrate this? Do you think God created the world in a certain order for a reason? Please write a paragraph discussing your thoughts and explain why you believe as you do.

NOTE: This is a good place to consider all of the fallacies of evolution!

B.  Why do you think God was displeased with Cain's sacrifice? Read carefully and feel free to quote scriptures from other parts of the Bible. Hint: Hebrews

C.  I would also like for you to give some additional thoughts, ideas, questions, or applications that you gleaned from this week's reading. In  your own words,  what did you get out of the reading?
