Thought Questions:
A.
How does God provide for our escape from temptation?
(New Testament scripture)
I Cor 10:13 says He will provide a way out.
However, many people like to quote only the first part of the verse
that says He will not give us more than we can bear. This is true but
the rest of the verse implies that we must look for the way out of
that temptation that He is providing.
B.
Thanksgiving- Do we remember to say thank You when God delivers us?
Phil 4:6 says that we are to present our
requests with thanksgiving Col 4:2 says we are to be earnest in
prayer and vigilant in thanksgiving. We are to remember to thank Him
when we pray. He wants us to bring Him our requests, but also our
thanksgivings when He answers, provides for us, or leads us out of
temptation.
C.
Did the murmurings of the Israelites show their lack of faith?
How may we demonstrate a lack of faith? Yes, I
believe so and we too show it by complaining (Phil 2:14), doubting (Jms
1:6), and worrying (Matt 6:33-34). We are to trust Him and not worry,
but that is so hard sometimes, so let us pray that God will help us
stay focused on Him.
