Sunflower smilesThought Question:

Read Hebrews chapter 9 and discuss how we are cleansed and purified today. Why don't we need an earthly priest to make intercession and atonement for us? The high priest had to go into the most holy place year after year with blood to atone for the sins of himself and the people. Christ offered up His own blood once and for all to intercede for us. The shedding of blood is necessary for the forgiveness of sins. Christ was the perfect sacrifice and paid for our sins once and for all.
