1. What did Moses and Aaron tell Pharaoh?

Ans.: 4Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.
 
2. What was Pharaoh's reply?

Ans.:
Who is the Lord that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the Lord; neither will I let Israel go.
 
3. What did Pharaoh say Moses and Aaron were trying to do (vs.4)?

Ans.:
He accused them of trying to take the people from their work.
 
4. How did Pharaoh increase their burdens?
Ans.:
They would no longer be given straw to make bricks, but were to gather their own straw and still had to produce the same number of bricks.
 
5. Why were the officers of the Israelites beaten?
Ans.:
The Israelites were not able to gather straw and still provide the required number of bricks.
 
6. What was the complaint of the Israelite officers to Moses and Aaron?
Ans.:
"Let the LORD look on you and judge, because you have made us abhorrent in the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to kill us." (Ex. 5:21)
 
7. How did Moses direct the complaint to the Lord?
Ans.:
So Moses returned to the LORD and said, "Lord, why have You brought trouble on this people? Why is it You have sent me? 23 For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he has done evil to this people; neither have You delivered Your people at all." (Ex.5:23)
