4. Some critics of the Old Testament have said that the writings of Exodus are “oral traditions” which were handed down for centuries until some priests wrote them down to preserve them. [An oral tradition is a tradition that was passed down from generation to generation by word of mouth since, as was supposed, writing had not yet been invented. But the fact is that writing had been invented because the written “code of Hammurabi ”(2100 B.C) was a detailed example of writing before the time of Moses]. In view of this, what statement in Exodus 24:4 proves that the teachings of Moses were not merely “oral traditions”?
