Ans.:
five oxen for an ox and four sheep for a sheep.
 
 
2. What was the penalty for killing a thief who broke in?
Ans.:

3. What is the penalty if a man let his animal loose and it feeds in another man’s field or vineyard?
Ans.:
He shall make restitution from the best of his own field or vineyard.
 
 
4. What was the penalty for the one who caused fire to break out and consume crops in the field?
Ans.:
He shall make restitution.
 
 
5. What was the penalty for a thief who stole money given for safekeeping out of someone’s house?
Ans.:
He shall pay double.

Ans.:
The master of the house into which the funds were placed for safekeeping should be brought to the judges to see whether he took his neighbor’s goods.
 
 

7. In general, for all manner of trespass for any lost thing which another challenges to be his, how was the matter to be resolved?
Ans.:
Both parties were to be brought before the judges and whom the judges condemn shall pay double.
 
 
8. What was required of a man who enticed a young woman who was not engaged?
Ans.:
The man must pay the dowry (bride price) and marry her.
 
 
9. What were they to do with a witch (sorceress)?
Ans.:
Kill her.
 
 
The word witchcraft or sorcery meant “to whisper or to cast a spell. In the New Testament the Greek word “pharmakeus” refers to a drug, i.e. spell-giving potion); a druggist ("pharmacist") or poisoner, i.e. (by extension) a magician:
From this we can understand that the use of drugs for the purpose of causing delusion is sinful. We are not speaking of the medicinal use of drugs, but the use of drugs to make things appear not to be as they really are, especially when we consider the vast drug abuse problem that exists in our culture today.
 
 
 
10. What kind of “work” does the Bible say witchcraft is? (Gal. 5:19, 20)
Ans.:
A work of the flesh.
 
 
11. What will those who practice things like this not be able to do? (Gal. 5:21)
Ans.:
Enter the kingdom of Heaven.
 
 
12. Where does God say sorcerers will have their part? (Rev. 21:8)
Ans.:
In the lake that burns with fire and brimstone.
