At the bottom of this lesson is one of the many charts that have been made to show how each plague illustrated the power of God over one of the "gods" of the Egyptians.  1. The Lord marked the month of deliverance for the Israelites as the first month of the sacred year. What was the name of the first month? (Exodus 13:4) [This 30-day month corresponds to parts of our March & April.

2. This word means "an ear of corn." After the exile, what was this month called? (Nehemiah 2:1; Esther 3:7).

Ans.:

Ans.:

7. When was it to be killed?
 
Ans.:
In the evening.
 
 
8. What were they to do with the blood of the animal?
 
Ans.:
Strike it on the two side posts and the upper door post where they ate the sacrifice.
 
 
9 What purpose did the application of the blood serve?
 
Ans.:
It was a token so that when the Lord passed over their houses where the blood was the plague would not be on them.
 
 
10. How were they to prepare the meat to eat, and with what were they to eat it?
 
Ans.:
Roast it with fire east it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.
 
 
11. What was this meal called?
 
Ans.:
Passover.
 
 
12. How long did Israel dwell in Egypt?
 
Ans.:
430 years.
 
 
13. Bible research question: List as many similarities between the sacrifice used by the Israelites and the sacrifice available for people today in the New Testament. I'll star you off:

Forever.
 
 
 
In the New Testament the Greek word for Passover is "pascha." It can be found in Acts 12:4 where it is erroneously translated "Easter" in the King James version.
