[Read chapter 11]
At the close of chapter 10 Pharaoh told Moses, "Get thee from me, take heed to thyself, see my face no more; for in that day thou seest my face thou shalt die. And Moses said, Thou hast spoken wee, I will see thy face no more."
Then, before Moses leaves the presence of Pharaoh, he reveals to Pharaoh the Lord's final message which we here read in Exodus 11:4-8. Verse 8 concludes with, "And he went out from Pharaoh with great anger [or hot with anger]."
1. The Lord had one more plague to bring upon Pharaoh and Egypt. What did the Lord say Pharaoh would do after that plague?
Ans.: He shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.
2. What did God say the people should ask of the Egyptians?
Ans.: Let every man ask of his neighbor, and every woman of her neighbor, jewels of silver and gold. (Ex 11:2)
3. How did the Egyptians react to these requests?
Ans.: The Lord gave the people favor in the eyes of the Egyptians.
4. How did the servants of Pharaoh and the people of Egypt regard Moses?
Ans.: Moses was very great in their sight.
5. What was the next plague?
Ans.: About midnight the Lord would go out in the midst of Egypt, and all the firstborn in the land shall die, including Pharaoh's family, servants and beasts.
6. How would this affect Israel?
Ans.: Nothing would die.
7. How did Moses say he would be approached by Pharaoh's servants?
Ans.: They would bow down to him and tell him to get out with all his people.
8. What did Moses do after he told these words to Pharaoh?
Ans.: He went out from Pharaoh in great anger.
