1. At this point, what is Joseph's status as a prisoner (from 39:20-25)?
Ans.: The keeper of the prison Committed to Joseph all of the prisoners.
2. Who did Pharaoh send to the captain of the guard to be with Joseph?
Ans.: His butler and his baker.
3. In the King James version of the Bible, verse 3 says they were put in the ward where Joseph was "bound." From another version (NKJV) give a better word for the KJV "bound". He could not literally be bound since he was put in charge of the others.
Ans.: confined (NKJV); imprisoned (NAS).
4. What was the butler's dream?
Ans.: There was a vine which produced three branches with clusters of grapes and he pressed the grapes into Pharaoh's cup.
5. What was the interpretation of the dream?
Ans.: Within three days the butler would again serve Pharaoh.
6. What was the baker's dream?
Ans.: There were three white baskets on his head and the top basket contained baked goods, but the birds came and ate it.7. What was the interpretation of the dream?
Ans.: Within three days the baker's head would be lifted up and he would be hanged in a tree and the birds would eat his flesh. The language of Joseph in saying "lifted up from off thee" literally describes minutely one form of capital punishment that prevailed in Egypt-namely, that the criminal was decapitated and then his headless body gibbeted on a tree by the highway, until it was gradually devoured by the ravenous birds.

8. What favor did Joseph ask of the butler?
Ans.: To make mention of him to Pharaoh and bring him out of that house.
