2. Who did Judah give to be the wife of the first son?

     ans.: Tamar

3. What happened to him?

     ans.: The Lord slew him

4. Why?

     ans.: He was wicked in the sight of the Lord

5. Does the Lord really know what we are doing?

     ans.: Yes

6. What was Judah's plan for Tamar to have a child?

     ans.: He sent the second son to be with her.

7. Did the second son do what was required of him?

     ans.: No

8. Was God aware of his sin?

     ans.: Yes

9. What did God do to punish him?

     ans.: God slew him also

10. What did Judah then promise Tamar?

     ans.: If she would remain a widow in her father's house, he would give Shelah to her when he was grown

11. When Shelah was grown and he was not given to Tamar, she disguised herself as a harlot (prostitute) and Judah went in to her. Judah promised top pay her a young goat from the flock and she asked for some token of payment for "her services." What were these tokens?

     ans.: His signet ring, bracelets and staff.

12. Three months later Judah was told that Tamar played the harlot and was with child. What did Judah say should be done with her?

     ans.: Let her be burned.

13. When they brought her forth to be burned, what did she say to Judah?

     ans.: By the man whom these "tokens" are am I with child.
