Sandy Tipton's Tomato Basil Soup

2 cups canned tomatoes (I use crushed)

1 t. dried basil ( fresh basil ~ use 18 to 20 leaves)

14 oz. chicken broth ( I use chicken boullion)

1 t. sugar

1/2 c. butter

1 c. cream

Bring tomatoes, basil, sugar and broth to a boil.  Simmer 10 min. Add butter and cream.  Reheat but do not boil. Serve.
