2 (8 oz) pkgs cream cheese
1 cup grated (or shredded) cheddar cheese
1 envelope Hidden Valley Ranch dressing, original flavor
Chopped pecans
Let cream cheese & cheddar cheese come to room temperature. Mix
cheeses, gradually adding dressing mix a little at a time until entire pkg is
used. (if too sticky after doing this, refrigerate for 30 minutes or so
until easily workable with hands) Shape into a ball (or 2 small balls if
preferred) and roll in chopped pecans. Refrigerate.
Serve with Club crackers or other variety of crackers.
* I have made this cheese ball for over 25 yrs & it never fails to get
raves & requests for the recipe. It is easy since it uses so few
ingredients. I make it for all holidays & family reunions &
parties. (am "expected" to make it!)
