Genesis 9

 

1.  What relationship did God establish between man and every beast of the earth?

The fear and dread of man was on every beast; every moving thing that lives was given to man for food.

2.  What restriction did God place on eating meat?

It was not to be eaten with its blood.

3.  How did God put value on man’s life?

God required a reckoning from a beast or man that shed man’s blood.

4.  Why did God place such value on man’s life?

Man was made in God’s image.

5.  What covenant did God establish with Noah and his sons?

He would never again destroy the earth with a flood.

6.  What was the sign of the covenant?

a rainbow

7.  What occupation did Noah take up after the flood?

a farmer

8.  Why did Noah curse Canaan?

because of the disrespect shown to Noah by Canaan’s father, Ham

9.  What did Noah do that contributed to Ham’s sin?

He got drunk.

10.  Whom did Noah ask God to bless?

Ham’s brothers, Shem and Japheth
