Revelation 20

1.  What did the angel have in his hand? key, chain

          What does he do with these things? He binds the dragon.

2.  Do you think the period of 1,000 years is literal or figurative? figurative, like Job 9:3, 33:23; Ps. 50;10, 90:4; Eccl. 6:6, 7:28

3.  What was the dragon prevented from doing for a time? deceiving the nations

          Was this a final punishment? No, the final punishment comes later.

4.  Who is sitting in judgment in verse 4? the martyrs

          What qualified them for this position? their testimony and faithfulness to God

5.  What is the second death? being cast into the lake of fire (v. 14; 21:8)

6.  How long does the punishment of the devil last (verse 10)?  forever

7.  The color “white” in verse 11 might be referring to whom (6:2; 19:11)?  Christ

8.  Who avoids judgment from the book of life (12)? no one

9.  Who receives the second death in the final verses of the chapter? death and Hades; anyone who name is not written in the book of life
