REV. 14

The Lamb, The 144,000 and The Consolation

1.    Who's name was written in the foreheads of the redeemed 144,000?

2.    Go back to Revelation 5:5 and identify the Lion of the tribe of Judah (if you need help see Hebrews7:14). Who was that Lion?

3.     Now how is that individual now described in Rev. 14:1?

4.    Why would the same individual be identified as a Lion in one place and as a Lamb in another?

5.    John heard "voices" from Heaven that were making great sounds (vs. 2). What were the sounds like?

6.     Does verse 3 say they were singing or playing?

7.    Who were the ones  who knew the song? (vs.3)

8.    List the characteristics of the ones who were able to learn that song (vss.4&5)

9.    Upon what mount was the Lamb standing?

10. Identify this mount from Hebrews 12: 22-24.

11. What was "another angel" doing?

12.  What would happen after the preaching of the gospel (vs.7)?

13.    What would happen to those who worshipped the beast and his image and who received his mark (vs.10)?

14.     From verse 10, who do you see approving of the punishment of those who worshiped the beast and his image?

15.    Amidst the persecutions being suffered by Christians because of their refusing to wear the mark of the beast comes words of consolation which encourage Christians to be faithful. What are those words of consolation founds in verse 13?

16.    The answer to #15 reinforces the admonition in Revelation 2:10. What does this passage say is in store for those who are faithful even unto death?
