"But
they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;they shall mount up
with wings as eagles; and they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall
walk, and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31)
As
Christians we need to grow in "spiritual righteousness."
I know of only one way to do that and that is to seek out the Lord and His
teachings and then to obey them. As we study and apply what we learn we
gain more spiritualness in our lives. Along with that spiritualness we will
gain strength from Him who is righteous!
There
are so many times we feel like just giving up. We are tempted to just say, “It
is too much Lord! I can't live the life You want me to
live”. Why do we feel this way? Why do we think we can't?
The answer is easy. It is because we have given up on the Lord!
The
Lord doesn't leave us. We leave Him! In those times
when we are the most alone, the most down, the most worn out from the trying,
our Lord is there. We just have to let Him in. If we
let Him in, and wait on Him to give us strength, to teach us righteousness and
to lift us up, then we will be able to say, “I waited on the Lord and he
taught me to fly on wings as eagles!”
