Speak The Truth

LORD, who may abide in Your tabernacle?  Who may dwell in Your holy hill?  He who.... speaks the truth in his heart. (Psalms 15:2)

Do you always tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?  Or do you sometimes tell “little white lies”? There are really on two choices: “Truth or A lie”  A half truth is a whole lie.

Look at the trouble Ananias and Sapphira got into because of the, “little white lie” (Acts 5)  The Holy Spirit killed them right on the spot.  God does not strike us dead today for telling a lie, but that does not mean that he tolerates untruthfulness.  The day will come when He will vent His wrath on all unpenitent liars.  

“...all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." Revelations 21:8

Any lie that we speak makes suspect all the  truthfulness we ever utter after that.

Let you speech be  pristine truthfulness!

A lying tongue hates those who are crushed by it...   (Proverbs 26:28a)

Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, But those who deal truthfully are His delight. (Proverbs 12:22)
