Praise the LORD, all nations; Laud Him, all peoples! For His loving-kindness is great toward us, and the truth of the LORD is everlasting. Praise the LORD! (Psalm 117:1-2)
It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes.
You pushed me violently so that I was falling, but the LORD helped me. The LORD is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation. (Psalm 118:8-9; 13-14)
Have you heard that saying, “If you don’t believe in something, you will fall for anything”? Unfortunately in a lot of situations this saying holds true. Especially when it comes to Religion. There are a lot of people out there searching and most of them don’t know what they are looking for. Some are looking for something that will make our lives better, instead of being content with what they have.
Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. (Philippians 4:11-12)Some are looking for happiness but do not know what happiness really is.
Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the LORD his God, Who made heaven and earth, The sea, and all that is in them; Who keeps truth forever,
Who executes justice for the oppressed, Who gives food to the hungry. The LORD gives freedom to the prisoners. The LORD opens the eyes of the blind;
The LORD raises those who are bowed down; The LORD loves the righteous. The LORD watches over the strangers; He relieves the fatherless and widow; but the way of the wicked He turns upside down. (Psalms 146:5-9)
God can and will supply everything. He may not give you what you want but, you will get what you need. Why is this so hard for the people to believe? It is not just people of the world but some Christians have doubts also.
Having faith in something you have not seen but only heard and read about is not easy. In fact, it is extremely hard. It takes a strong commitment, dedication to reading and studying the Word. Constant prayer is essential to succeeding. This is not something you can start and stop on a whim. Believe it or not, good and evil is in a fight for your soul. If you don’t believe in our Lord, you will fall with Satan. There is no in between choice. You are either for or against.
Even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:22-23)If this sounds harsh, please believe I do not mean for it to be. I am just afraid; not only for myself but my family and friends. With all the things that are going on, these times remind me so much of Sodom.
Now the men of Sodom were wicked and were sinning greatly against the LORD. (Genesis 13:13)I do have comfort in the fact that God is just and loving and looks at the heart. But be that as it may time may be growing short. Please don’t delay.
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (Matt.24:36-39)
Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come…. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. (Matt. 24:42;44)
