Salisbury Steak
 
1 egg, beaten                              
1/2 c soft bread crumbs
1/4 c chopped onion
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 lb. hamburger
Mashed potatoes
Gravy:   2 T flour
1 beef broth  (14 1/2 oz)
1/4 c ketchup
1 T Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp dried basil
1 jar sliced mushrooms,  drained  (4 1/2 oz)
 
Combine the first 5 ingredients in a bowl.  Crumble hamburger over mixture and mix well.  Shape into 4 patties;  place in a shallow 2-qt microwavable bowl.  Cover and microwave at 70% power for 6 minutes. 
Gravy:  Combine flour and beef broth in a bowl until smooth;  stir in remaining ingredients.
Turn patties, then drain.  Pour gravy over patties.  Cover and microwave at 70% for 6 to 8 minutes.  Gently stir gravy.  Cover and let stand for 5 minutes.  Serve over mashed potatoes.
