"having put on the breastplate of righteousness." (Ephesians 6:14)
In this day and age, a lot of emphasis is put on women's breasts. Many have had breast enlargements to call attention to their bodies. Others wear low cut dresses to show their cleavage. If we are Christian women, Royal Daughters of God, we should not be flaunting our bodies. What we should show, instead, is righteousness.
Righteousness is inherent or imputed guiltlessness before God.
"and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in righteousness and true holiness." (Ephesians 4:24)
When we have been baptized into Christ, we leave our old bodies of sin and become new, clean, pure, and holy spiritual beings.
"and be found in Him, not having our own righteousness, which is from law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God through faith." (Philippians 3:9)
We cannot be righteous without faith in God and Christ. We are to imitate them and try to be as near like them as is humanly possible.
A Christian woman wears clothing that is modest. Her body is covered so she no way causes men to lust for her. Instead, she wears the "breastplate of righteousness." This covers her very well. She is known for whom she is, not what she looks like.
"IN like manner, also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair, or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but what is proper for women professing godliness with good works." (I Timothy 2:9-10)
Here again is scripture telling us to wear things that do not call attention to our bodies. No one is going to think of holiness if they look at all the "stuff" some women wear.
"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit. (Titus 3:5)
There IS NO righteousness apart from God. However, if we gird our waist with truth, and put on the breastplate of righteousness, we Royal Daughters can bow before our King. And we can say as David said in Psalm 11:7 --"For the Lord is Righteous; He loves righteousness; His countenance beholds the upright."
