RISE WITH GOD
By Beverly Rainwater

"My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up." (Psalm 5:3)

How do you start your day?  Do you lay in bed until the last possible second then jump up and run to try to get things done?  Are you finding yourself stressed and stretched to the limit because of not allowing more time to prepare for the day and what it holds?

We need to practice a little planning ahead so that we can start refreshed, refueled and ready to meet the day.  It takes a little planning and a lot of will power on our part.  Especially for those of us who are not "morning people!"  We need to plan time to sit down with God in prayer asking Him to bless our day and to help us to deal with whatever our day affords to us.

As we saw in Psalms 5:3 says, ". . .in the morning I will direct my prayers unto thee, and I will look up."  We need to be like David.  What better way to begin each day is there than to rise and lay everything at His feet in prayer and stop quietly, without stress, and look up for guidance for the day!
