Rejoice in What the Lord Has Done

This was the LORD's doing! It is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it! (Psalm 118:23-24)

These are two of my favorite verses because we can so easily look around and see what the Lord has done!  How great are His works!

So many times we get so bogged down with our busy schedules and the day-to-day struggles. It is so easy to say, “Oh no, tomorrow is Monday and I have to get up early again.”

These two verses set the stage for a day of positive thinking. “This is the day which the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

All things in our life are His doing and it all should be marvelous in our eyes. We should rise up everyday with excitement and eagerness to see what the Lord has given us today.  We may often wake up tired or in some kind of pain, but it is still another day given to us and made for us by our Father. 

If we will just greet each day as a gift from Him and see what He has for us to do today, it will brighten our whole outlook.  It will help us to do better in every area of our life.

Rejoice in the Lord always,

And again I say Rejoice! (Phil. 4:4)
