Praying for the Homeless

 By  Cj. Clayton

I pray every night for the homeless.  When my husband and I are driving we often will pull over and give money to someone that is homeless.  I will give them coats, sometimes the one I'm wearing at the time. I have even brought the homeless to our home and fed them.

I thank God that I will never be homeless! How do I know this?  The Bible says so!

I have been young and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor His seed begging bread. (Psalms 37:25)

He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed. (Psalms 37:26)

I invited a homeless man to our Church.  I also gave him some Church literature.  He was very grateful.  I prayed that he come to worship God on Sunday.  I told him to have the Church bus pick him up where ever he was.  He promised he would be there.  He never showed up.

I just wish that he would have come, because if he had, the Lord would make sure he was never homeless again.

But he didn’t care enough, about God or himself.

There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.  (Psalms 38:3)

I often marvel at the many who have left the Church and still won't return.  As I look at the ones who don't love God, I consider what will now be their place, and what my place is.

For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. (Psalms 37:10)

Thank you, Lord, for saving me and never forsaking me.

For the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: But the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. (Psalms 37:28:)
