Moral Values Are
Number One

The wicked prowl on
every side, when vileness is exalted among the sons of men. (Psalm
12:8)
Over thirty years ago, a
generation gained power of influence on our social culture.
They touted such catch words as "free love". The goal of
"free love" was to free society of the guilt asscociated with
immoral sex. The problem was that it was not in their power to
free society of the consequence of freely practiced sin. Society
has sewn and now gathered the harvest of that generation's influence.
A son of that generation became
President of our country. "Don't ask, don't tell" was
forced upon our military as the method of dealing with homosexuals in
their ranks. This one law opened the closet on the homosexual
agenda throughout our society. Twelve years later our country was
being forced to accept "gay marriages".
But the cowardly,
unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral (includes
homosexually), idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the
lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
(Rev. 21:8)
What exactly qualifies a sin to be
called sexually immoral? The New Testament gives a clear law of
what is sexually moral. Everything and anything
that does not fit into this description is immoral:
"Nevertheless
to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife and let every
woman have her own husband." (I Cor. 7:2)
This means that the practices that
do not fit into this catergory are considered by God to be sin.
This includes: homosexuality, polygamy, premarital sex, beastiality,
rape, incest, etc......
Do you not know that
the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived.
Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor
sodomites........will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were
some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you
were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our
God. (I Cor. 6:9-10)
THE WICKED PROWL ON
EVERY SIDE, WHEN VILENESS IS EXALTED AMONG THE SONS OF MEN.
Praise God! A new day has
dawned! The number-one reason people said in the exit polls
that they voted for President Bush was "moral values"!
Righteousness exalts
a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.(Proverbs 14:34)
Twelve years ago, when Bill Clinton
was elected President of the United States, the slogan touted across our
land, even by those who considered themselves to be Christians, was:
"It's the economy, stupid". One lonely sign on a country
church building expressed the real issue that many refused to even
consider: "Righteousness exalts the nation, not the economy."
But today is a new day! I am
so thankful our God has allowed me to live to see it! Our country
has overwhelmingly said that moral values is the true and most important
issue!
The LORD appeared to
Solomon before he began his reign as king over the Israelites. God told
Solomon, "Ask! What shall I give you?"
Solomon requested of
God, "Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to
judge Your people that I may discern between good and evil. For
who is able to judge this great people of Yours?"
The speech pleased
the LORD, that Solomon had asked this thing. Then God said to him:
"Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life
for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself,....but have asked for
yourself understanding to discern justice, behold, I have done according
to your words, see, I have given you a wise and understaning heart, so
that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like
you arise after you.
And I have also
given you what you have not asked; both riches and honor, so that there
shall not be anyone like you among the kings all your days. So if
you walk in My ways, to keep My statutes and My commandments, as your
father David walked, then I will lengthen your days." (Taken from 1
Kings 3)
Twelve years ago our country chose
the economy over righteousness. We suffered greatly and new fears
arose on the horizon to cause concern for the future of our loved ones
and for our great nation.
In the Presidential election of 2004
our country has chosen morality! If our country and our President
abides in this choice, I predict that our greatly blessed country is on
the verge of being blessed beyond comprehension. Righteousness
exalts a nation! God will bless our nation in every way including
economically if we truly exalt Him!
