MESSAGE FOR OBC YOUTH STAFF

Over the period of time we have been sending out devotionals, prayer requests, etc.... we have developed some rules which make our job easier and which help us to avoid problems before they happen. This spares our nerves as well as the feelings of the dear people we serve. That being said, I have adapted our “To Our Writers” page by adding a couple more requests and I have turned it into a “To Our Staff” page.  (By the way, the “To Our Writers” letter can be found on the “Welcome” page which is on the “Ladies Daily Devotional archives” page.)

We want you to be aware of these “rules” in case you need to use them and in case someone asks you why we do certain things the way we do them.  If any of you need further clarification on the rules or if you have  any questions, please let me know .....and I will pass it on to someone else on the staff (No, I am just kidding!)

Anyway, here are our “rules”

The Send Button

1. This rule applies to those of you who have a finger on the “send button”. If you send out mailings which represent OBC, these mailings have to be previewed by two other staff members before they can go out. These staff members which we will call “Previewers” include:  Paul, Sandy, Billie, and Joan.  We have found that doing this helps everyone to avoid the possibility of embarrassment and back tracking. It also takes the burden off one individual in case a mistake is made.

Note to Previewers:  Articles which are on the “preview docket” should meet the criterias laid out in this letter to the staff.  Above all, make sure that everything that represents us is scriptural.

Versions

Please use King James, New King James, or American Standard Version.

Things Not to Include

Please do not include links in your articles or prayer requests.  Please do not include names of congregations, schools of preaching, brotherhood universities, names of denominations, publications, names of “well known” preachers etc.....  in your articles or prayer request or anything else that is mailed out from our list.  (Note: If a prayer request comes in for a “well known” preacher etc, it is handled like any other prayer request.  No one should be exalted or honored above anyone else. Anyone can be named as needing our prayers but not spoken of in any way that exalts them  from anyone else)

Prayer request

Please send prayer requests and special announcements to: Betty Strickland ladiesdevo3@hotmail.com   and CC to Billie Duty  ladiesdevo@hotmail.com   Please do not request that we send out  messages of the "please forward" type.

 Prayers

Please pray for this ministry daily!  Please pray that God will lead us to souls who can be strengthened and encouraged by our work. Pray that if there are those who we can help to lead to the Lord that He will help us to find them and teach them.  Pray that everything we ever send out is scriptural and for His glory.  Please pray for each staff member.  Pray that those of us who communicate directly with the members of the list will always glorify God in all we say and do.

May God bless each one of you richly for your labor of love and for your dedication which helps to enrich the lives of so many.  Thank you  so much for all that you do which makes this ministry possible!

Sandy
