The LORD has heard my supplication; The LORD will receive my prayer. (Psalms 6:9)
David has just poured out his heart to God in prayer. He believes and trusts that the Lord will hear and answer his prayers.
When we are worried, feeling low, upset and crying; we too, can and should pour our troubles out to God in prayer.
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (Matthew 11:28-29)
And we should have the attitude that David had... Believing and trusting that he hears us and will answer.
Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him. (John 9:31)
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. (I John 5:14-15)
