2.  And he said to them all, ___ _____ _____ _______ _______ _______ _____ ___ _____ ______ ______ _____ _____ ___ ____ _____ _______   ___ ________ ___. (Luke 9:23)

3.  And he is the ________ of the ________, the __________: who is the ___________, the __________ _______ _______ ________; that in all things he might have the _________________. (Col 1:18)

4.  It is obvious from the above three passages that Christians are to recognize       ______ as their leader.

5. He is to be our leader . . . [choose the best answer(s)]:

     a. Daily in all matters

     b. Only when we face troubles

     c. Only when we come before him in worship

     d. Only when we have important business matters to consider.

6.  Concerning the direction or way in which we are lead, and using Proverbs 14:12, Matthew 7:13, 14 and John 14:6 as texts, choose the best answer(s).

     a. The way that seems best to us is the safest way.

     b. The most comfortable way for you is best.

     c. The way that is prescribed by Jesus is the right way.

     d. The way that leads to eternal life is narrow and difficult.

     e. The way that leads to eternal life is easy to find

     f. The way that pleases my friends and family is right

7. When people began to leave Jesus, Jesus asked his disciples "Will ye also go away?" Notice the reply to Him:

"Then ______________ ___________ answered him, Lord, ___ ______  _______  ___  ___? ______  _____  ______ ________  ___ ____________ _______. And we believe and are sure that thou art that ________, the ______of the ________ ______." (John 6:68-69)

8. In the preceding passage, how is it that the Lord could lead them to eternal life?

9. The evangelist, Philip, asked the eunuch from Ethiopia if he understood the scripture that he was reading. Notice the eunuch's reply:

"And he said, ______ _____ ___, except ________  _______  ________ _______  ____? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him." (Acts 8:31).

"WHAT THEN?"

The preacher tried to persuade someone to live the Christian life, but the person said, "Not yet."

Preacher: "Why not?"

Someone:  "Because I want to complete my education."

Preacher: "What will you do then?"

Someone: "I will pursue my career."

Preacher: "What will you do after you have pursued your career?"

Someone: "Well, I suppose I'll live out my days in retirement."

Preacher: "What then?"

Someone: "Well, I suppose I'll die"

Preacher:  "What then"

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation (Heb 9:27-28)

Think! All of our plans, all of our goals, all of our business and social successes, all of our grand designs for life whether we be of humble circumstances or royalty, all will have the same end in death, then the judgment.

The church needs men and women who are willing to live and lead according to the teachings of God.

Does your influence lead people toward the broad way that leads to destruction or to the narrow way that leads to eternal life? I know we are all busy with "life;" but after life comes the judgment; and those who will stand in the judgment are those who prepared for it.

10. For we ________ _____ appear before the __________  ________ of Christ; that every one may ____________ the ___________  ___________  ___ ______ ________, ___________  _____  ________  ____  ________  _________, whether it be ________  ___  ______ (2 Cor 5:10).

13.  People do not automatically follow the way of righteousness. That way of righteousness must be taught. List as many ways as you can think of that the way of righteousness can be taught. Adults as well as children must be taught. We'll share the answers with the class.
