The
preacher tried to persuade someone to live the Christian life, but the person

Someone: "I will pursue my career."
Preacher: "What will you do after you have pursued your
career?"
Someone: "Well, I suppose I'll live out my days in retirement."
Preacher: "What then?"

"Well, I suppose I'll die"
Preacher: "What
then"
And
as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ
was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall
he appear the second time without sin unto salvation (Heb 9:27-28)
Think! All of our plans, all of our goals, all of our business and social
successes, all of our grand designs for life whether we be of humble
circumstances or royalty, all will have the same end in death, then the
judgment.
The church needs men and women who are willing to live and lead according
to the teachings of God.
Does your influence lead people toward the broad way that leads to
destruction or to the narrow way that leads to eternal life? I know we are all
busy with "life;"
but after life comes the judgment; and those who will stand in the judgment are
those who prepared for it.
