"Love does no harm to a neighbor;…" Romans 13:10
"If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you do well;" James 2:8

Parents, please take the time to discuss each question below:
If you call your friend or your sister a bad name how does it make them feel?
How does it make you feel when someone calls you a bad name?
Jesus taught that we should not call someone a "fool". Someone said, "Sticks and stones will hurt my bones, but words will never hurt me". Is that really true? Have you ever seen someone cry because someone said something mean to him or her? Did you ever feel like crying when someone said something mean to you? We may not be able to see someone's feelings but that does not mean that feelings cannot hurt.
Would Jesus call a person a bad name?
YES OR NO
1. A person who calls their friend "thou fool" is being kind.
2. Jesus said that person who calls someone "thou fool" is in danger of going to hell.
3. Love does no harm to a neighbor.
4. It is okay to be mean to your sister and call her a bad name as long as your mother doesn't hear you.
5. The royal law is an important law.
6. The royal law tells us to love others like we love ourselves.
7. It is okay to stick my tongue out at someone I don't like as long as I don't call them a bad name.
8. If everyone is calling a girl on the playground a bad name because she looks funny, it is okay to do it too because everyone else is doing it.
