Lesson Text:
Matthew 5:1-3
And seeing the multitudes, He went up on
a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him.
Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying: " Blessed
are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Jesus
taught many lessons on how to be blessed. He went up on a
mountain and taught a large crowd and he gave them a list of
things to do so that they could be blessed. Are you blessed?
If you are blessed it means that you are very, very happy! In
our lesson today we will learn about people who were very,
very happy because they are "poor in spirit". We will learn
what it means to be "poor in spirit".
If you are
poor in spirit:
You will
let others go before you in line.
You will
tell you parents you are sorry when you disobey.
You will
not become angry when others win.
You will
not be angry when someone gets something nice that
you did
not get.
You are
happy to obey!
You enjoy
watching the happiness of others.
You enjoy
creating happiness in others.
You enjoy
making God happy!
