Lesson Text:
Matthew 3:10;
7:18; 12:33;
Proverbs 20:11
John said:
And even now the ax is laid to the
root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit
is cut down and thrown into the fire. (Matthew 3:10)
Jesus said:
A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor
can a bad tree bear good fruit. (Matthew 7:18)
"Either make the tree good and its
fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is
known by its fruit. (Matthew 12:33)
Solomon said:
Even a child is known by his deeds,
Whether what he does is pure and right. (Proverbs 20:11)

The important word in our lesson is:
FRUIT. John and Jesus talked about good fruit and bad
fruit. Jesus said that a tree is known by its fruit whether it is good
or bad. Solomon said that a child is known by his deeds. John, Jesus and
Solomon were really all saying the same thing. A child who does bad
things is like a tree that has only rotten, sour fruit on it. A child
who does good things is like a tree with yummy, yummy sweet and juicy
fruit on
it. I hope you will always be like a good tree!!
