God‘s
Good
Creation
Lesson 10
Seventh
Day of Creation
and Review
It has been a fun ten
weeks and the time has really passed quickly. Let's now study day 7 of
God's Good Creation. Open your Bibles to Genesis 2:1-3:
Genesis 2: 1-3 "Thus
the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. And
on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the
seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the
seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which
God had created and made."
That was
a big job so God rested. Do you think He needed a rest?
Let's review each day of
creation by reading this rhyme:
Day one the world
began;
making light was God's
first plan.
Waters above and waters
below;
This was day two, you
know.
Dry land was made on day
three;
along with flower, grass
and tree.
Great big lights on day
four;
sun, moon and a zillion
stars or more.
On day five, God made
alive;
parrot, owl, whale and
eel to thrive.
Koalas, kittens and
kangaroos too;
Day six was God's grand
zoo.
Oh, my. Let us not
forget;
Man and woman - the best
yet!
In six days God made His
best;
On the seventh He did
rest.

Fun Project time!
Ask your mom or dad if
you could have a bit of wall space to put up a poster or a banner. Put
the title: "Days of Creation" at the top. Ask for magazines to find
and then cut out pictures of something God made on each day of
creation. Don't try to find every animal though, just pick out a few
of your favorites - as many as you have room for on the poster/banner.
Be sure to put them in order and put the day's number next to them.
Be creative and have fun!
Memory verse for the
week:
Psalm 148:5
"Let
them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created."
