4.  Tell me what you know and can find out about the Passover?

A feast of the Jews, instituted to commemorate the providential escape of the Hebrews in Egypt when God, smiting the first-born of the Egyptians, passed over the houses of the Israelites which were marked with the blood of the paschal lamb.

In the Old Testament, beginning in Exodus, we find that God's children were in slavery to the Egyptians.  God did many signs through Moses in order to make Himself known to the Egyptians and cause them to free God's children.  Now the last sign is found in Exodus 11 and  Exodus 12.

We find in Exodus 12:21-28 what the Passover Feast is:

Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel and said to them, “Pick out and take lambs for yourselves according to your families, and kill the Passover lamb.  And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. And none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning.  For the LORD will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the LORD will pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you.  And you shall observe this thing as an ordinance for you and your sons forever.  It will come to pass when you come to the land which the LORD will give you, just as He promised, that you shall keep this service.  And it shall be, when your children say to you, ‘What do you mean by this service?’  that you shall say, ‘It is the Passover sacrifice of the LORD, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt when He struck the Egyptians and delivered our households.’” So the people bowed their heads and worshiped.  Then the children of Israel went away and did so; just as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so they did.

5.  Do we celebrate the Passover feast every year today? No. This was given to the descendants of Abraham which were the Jews and also known as Israel. We learn this by studying the books of Genesis and Exodus.

6.   Who is our Passover?  Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son.

1 Corinthians 5:7
Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.

7. What are we commanded by God to observe as New Testament Christians?       The Lord's Supper 1 Corinthians 11:23ff

      a.  When are we commanded to do this?  Upon the first day of the week which is Sunday, every week has a first day

Acts 20:7
Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight.

      b.  Who are we to remember when we are doing this? Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son.  We are to remember what a wonderful sacrifice He is for us when observing this act of worship.

1 Corinthians 11:23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
26
For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.
