Lesson 32

ANSWERS

Lesson text: John 9:1-12

Something to think about:

1.  What if the man had gone to the river Jordan instead of the pool of Siloam to wash his eyes?  Would he have been healed?  Why or why not?

He would not have been healed because he had obeyed only part of the Lord's command.

Family Discussion:

In our lesson text, Jesus is called:

·        Rabbi:  A title of respect by which teachers were addressed. Christ taught God's will during His 33 years on earth.

A man called Jesus:  His human appearance wasn't such that He looked any different that the average man.

·         Light of the world:  A title given Jesus because He made clear (illuminated/lighted) God's will to mankind and completed God's Plan of Salvation so each of us has the hope of going to heaven for eternity if we fulfill the requirements.

Please discuss the meaning or significance of all these terms that apply to Jesus.

Tell who in our lesson said the statements below.

For your answer put: (D) for Disciples, (J) Jesus, (N) Neighbors, (M) the man and an (X) if no one in the lesson said it.
