Kid's Korner
Lesson 23

Lesson Text: John 7:25-36
If you had lived on earth when Christ was alive would you have believed He was who He said He was? Many who knew Him when He lived on earth did not believe He was the Promised One. Our lesson today begins with some in Jerusalem arguing about who Christ was.
1. List the things these people said about Jesus:
2. List 8 points Jesus made when He addressed them in the temple:
3. How did the Pharisees and chief priests react to His comments?
4. Why could they not take hold of Him?
5. There was mixed reaction to what Jesus said. Some wanted to kill him and some began to believe in Him after He made these comments. What made the believers start believing in Him?
Family Discussion Question/Research Question

6. Jesus said that He was going away. Where was He going? Find other passages that tell us where He went.
We read in verse 30 that they sought to take Him; but no one laid a hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come. This passage assures us that, even though they did eventually take Jesus and beat Him, spit on Him and crucify Him, God was still in control. God had the power to rescue Jesus at any time but He did not choose to do so. He chose rather to let His precious Son die so that we might live. Jesus died to save us from our sins.
