7 :15-24
And the Jews marveled, saying, “How does this Man know letters, having never studied?” Jesus answered them and said, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me. If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority.
He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him. Did not Moses give you the law, yet none of you keeps the law? Why do you seek to kill Me?” The people answered and said, “You have a demon. Who is seeking to kill You?”
Jesus answered and said to them, “I did one work, and you all marvel. Moses therefore gave you circumcision (not that it is from Moses, but from the fathers), and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath. If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath, so that the law of Moses should not be broken, are you angry with Me because I made a man completely well on the Sabbath? Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”
Jesus was surrounded by people who did not like Him. There are people in the world today who do not love God and they do not like the people who do love God. They make fun of Christians and sometimes they even will try to hurt them. They work real hard to make others not like Christians. We should try to be like Jesus. We need to follow His example and love God no matter what anyone says or does.
Family Discussion
What is an example? Discuss what it means to be a good example. Discuss what it means to be a bad example. Can you set a good example in all but one thing and still be a good example? Name some good examples in the Bible. Name some bad examples in the Bible. Name one way that you set a good example.

Jesus lived to glorify His Father. He spoke the things God wanted Him to speak. We should glorify our Father, God, just as Jesus did. What does it mean to glorify God? It means to do things that will cause others to love Him and to honor Him. It means to live our lives just as God teaches us to do so that when others look at us they will think good things about our Father.

12. Name two things Jesus said about judging. (Hint: verse 24)
Jesus told His disciples to judge! He told them the kind of judging he wanted them to do. He wanted them to do righteous judgment. What is righteous judgment? It is a decision that is made comparing facts with what God tells us in the Bible . It is being fair and honest, kind and merciful. In the sentences below identify righteous judgment (RJ) and unrighteous judgment (UJ)
