Joseph was a righteous man who suffered greatly for doing the right thing, but his trust in the Lord did not waiver, and nor should ours. He was blessed abundantly time and time again as the Lord was with him even in his times of adversity. We may suffer for the cause of Christ, and I know sometimes it is hard to see past the trials we are enduring. It’s important to remember that we may never see physical prosperity, but if we remain faithful to God, he will never leave us.
