The role of the father here on earth is a model of our relationship with our heavenly father. If we do not promote the role of the earthly father, how will the child grow to understand the role of his heavenly father? The child will not understand correction from the Lord if he was never corrected by his own father, nor will he understand the need for submission to his Heavenly Father. A father will correct his son because he loves his son and wants to raise a righteous child.
