Blessed
be the LORD, because He has heard the voice of my
supplications! The LORD is my strength and my
shield;..... (Psalm 28:6-7a)
And
we know all things work together for good to them that love
God, to them who are called according to His purpose. (Romans
8:28) This verse
always reminds me how sometimes things can seem just really
awful and you might feel like you are just at the end of
your rope, but if we are faithful and trust in God
everything always works out for the best.
An
example of this in my life was about 7 years ago. I
had flown to Michigan with my 2 girls to visit my mother.
My husband drove up two weeks later to pick us up and just
before he made it to their house, the car just died!
The whole engine was blown!
So there
we were, stuck in Michigan with no vehicle This was our only
one. Well, we went to the nearest car lot, got
approved for a loan (and we lived out of state too) and
bought a really nice car. Along with the really nice car
came a really high monthly payment, which we did not need!
We drove back home.
We were
home for about a week or so, when my husband flipped
the car and totaled it! Thankfully, he was unhurt, but
the car was totaled. So the insurance paid off the
loan and we were then able to get another car!
The
point is this, we trusted in God even when all the bad
things were happening during this time. In
the end it all worked out for our and His best! My
heart trusted in Him, and I am helped. Therefore
my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise
Him. ( Psalm 28:7b)
Sometimes
God gives us blessings in strange packages!
