He
who trusts in his own heart is a fool, But whoever walks wisely will be
delivered. (Proverbs 28:26)
Are
you and I walking "wisely" or "as a fool"? If we do not
use God’s road map for life, we are walking "foolishly".
One
who turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an
abomination. (Proverbs 28:9)
God
Will not Even Hear our Prayers
But
your iniquities have separated you from your God; And
your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.
(Isaiah 59:2)
We
must become "righteous" in God’s sight (not self-righteousness).
Trust God to do exactly as He tells us He will, IF we do exactly
as He instructs.
If
we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in
us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our
sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not
sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. (1 John 1:8)
Remember
therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else
I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless
you repent. (Rev. 2:5)
