Whether
we're waiting in a long line at the grocery store, or waiting for an
erring loved one to return to the Lord, waiting is not easy. Patience is
not a virtue we are born with. All too often, we
don't acquire it as we grow older either.
Waiting is hard.
….Waiting is difficult.
….Waiting is a tool that Satan delights in using against us.
Often we play into Satan's hands because we want, what we want, when we want it. We don't want to have to wait for it.
Wait
a minute! Our Lord had something to
say on this matter of waiting and of being patient, that we would do
well to remember:
Wait on the Lord;
be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on
the Lord! (Psalm 27:14) (NKJ)
