Flip Charts

The Hat Game

Submitted by Leigh Judd

Try on different types of hats (cowboy, space helmet, birthday...) and ask the kids "What kind of hat is this? Who would wear this hat?" Then tell them the greatest "hat" of all is the crown of life and discuss who will get to wear it and why.

If the class is small, each child could have one of each hat. Also this idea could be made into a flip chart with pictures of different types of hats or used as a craft where the kids glue jewels or color their own crowns. James 1:12 Rev 2:10

Bible Numbers

Submitted By Leigh Judd

This idea came from DLTK crafts for kids. If you go to the web site (dltk-kids.com) you can print out number templates in three different sizes. I used the biggest so there is only one number per page and made it into a flip chart.

1 Lost Coin/Luke 15:8-10/Jesus told the story of a woman who lost one coin. She had nine other coins, but she hunted through her house until she found the one lost coin. (On this page I glued a big gold "coin." Then ask the kids, "Can you count the coins with me?")

2 Boys/Genesis 25: 24-28/Isaac and Rebekah had two baby boys. They were twins. Their names were Jacob and Esau. A tent was their home as they were growing up. (On this page I drew two boys. "Let's count the boys.")

And so on until 10.
