How long wilt thou
forget me, O LORD? For ever? How long wilt thou hide thy face from me?
Consider and hear
me, O LORD my God; lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;
But I have trusted
in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.
I will sing unto
the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.
(Psalm 13: 1,3,5-6)
In this Psalm,
David once again cries out to God and wonders why GOD is
ignoring him. However, by the end of this Psalm David
changes his thoughts to praise.
David said that he
would:
- Trust God,
- Rejoice in
His salvation,
- Sing to Him,
- And praise
Him
For His
Great Blessings
I like the King
James version's use of the the word "bountifully". We
are all so bountifully or abundantly blessed!
We are taught
in the following NT passages to do what David did:
-
I will put my trust in
Him. (Heb 2:13)
-
Rejoice in the Lord
always. (Phil 4:4) (Always means in ALL
situations.)
-
Sing and give thanks.
(Eph 5:19-20)
-
Let our requests be made
known with thanksgiving. (Phil 4:6)
Let us ever be Thankful,
Joyful,
Full of Praise,
Whatever Our Situation
