Are You Seeking God

Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; Let such as love Your salvation say continually, "The LORD be magnified!" (Psalm 40:16)

God knows and watches for those who seek Him.

The LORD looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God. (Psalm 14:2)

God looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God. (Psalm 53:2)

Those who truly seek Him shall rejoice

Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; And let those who love Your salvation say continually, "Let God be magnified!" (Psalm 70:4)

Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the LORD! Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face evermore! (Psalm 105:3-4)

When we really understand,

what else would we want to seek?

One thing I have desired of the LORD, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD, And to inquire in His temple. (Psalm 27:4)

O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. (Psalm 63:1)

In the New Testament Jesus tells us to seek.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. (Matthew 6:33)

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8)

He will reward those who seek Him.

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6)

His children know that this earth is not our home.

We are seeking Heaven.

For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come. (Hebrews 13:14)

Those who seek God shall not lack for any good thing.

They are happy!

The poor shall eat and be satisfied; Those who seek Him will praise the LORD. Let your heart live forever! (Psalm 22:26)

The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing. (Psalm 34:10)

Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart! (Psalm 119:2)
