Have you noticed the momentum with which the “Get God out of everything” movement has picked up? Schools and those in charge of government buildings have banned anything to do with the religious aspects of holidays. The Ten Commandments are not allowed on government property. Some business owners forbid their employees to wish customers a “Merry Christmas”.
A school in California has prohibited a teacher from reading the Declaration of Independence because it includes the name of our God. I’ve even heard that red and green plates were not allowed at one holiday party because the colors represent Christmas. Another school or business was not even allowed to decorate with snowflakes! (I still haven’t figured that one out!)
Yet in another public school district in California, students are being taught from the Koran. They are reciting Muslim prayers and dressing up in Muslim clothing and headdresses.
True Christians do not observe the religious holiday called Christmas because it is not taught in the Bible and we know that Christians are not under the Ten Commandment law. It alarms me just the same, to see the boldness of those who are anti God. I believe that the majority of the citizens of our great country believe in existence of the one true God. At what point then, will our people rise up together and declare to those in the “Abolish God” crusade, “You will proceed no further!”
The
fool has said in his heart, "There is no God.” They are corrupt, and have
done abominable iniquity; there is none who does good.
God
looks down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there are any who
understand, who seek God. Every one of them has turned aside; they have together
become corrupt; There is none who does good, no, not one.
Have
the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread,
and do not call upon God?
There they are in great fear where no fear was, for God has scattered the bones of him who encamps against you; You have put them to shame, because God has despised them. (Psalm 53:1-5)
