There
are two parts in a spiritual equation: God’s part and man’s part.
God will always be faithful to fulfill His part. Man does not always
keep his part. There are various reasons why different
people do not obey God. Some simply do not trust God to
keep His part. In the back of their minds they hope God has
the power to save them. Yet when it comes to day to day living, they make
their decisions based on what they themselves can do and what they can’t do,
as if the total outcome depended on them. They do not
factor in, at all, what God can do to help them. Such
people walk by sight and not by faith.
Now
that is very silly if you think about it. The same God who
promised to save us from our sins is the same God who said:
Therefore
I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye
shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more
than meat, and the body than raiment?
Behold
the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into
barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than
they?
Which
of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
And
why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they
grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
And
yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like
one of these.
Wherefore,
if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is
cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Therefore
take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or,
Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
(For
after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth
that ye have need of all these things.
But
seek ye first
the kingdom
of God,
and his righteousness;
and all these things shall be added unto you.
Take
therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the
things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. (Matthew
6:25-34)
If
we cannot trust God to keep His part when He tells us to seek the Kingdom of
God
first, then why should we trust Him to
save us? If He lies about one He lies about the other.
Such foolishness! God never lies!
Many
today look at the commands from God concerning the role of woman as laughable,
foolish, and impossible to keep. They think, ”Surely anyone would be
financially ruined who tried to obey them.”
We
must never forget when we read God’s commands for our lives, that we must
trust Him and we must walk by faith.
Please
read the following verses as you think about the passages concerning the role
of woman.
Now
by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.
( 1 John 2:3)
He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments,
is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
(1 John 2:4)
And
whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments
and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.
(1 John 3:22)
Now
he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. ....
(1 John 3:24)
By
this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments.
(1 John 5:2)
For
this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments
are not burdensome.
(1 John 5:3)
This
is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the
commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.
(2 John 1:6)
For
me, the subject of the providence of God is one that is very dear and
personal. I know first hand what God can and will do if we walk by faith.
Here’s
the formula ladies if you are willing to try it:
-
Keep
all His Commands.
-
Trust
Him.
-
Thank
Him.
Do
this continually and consistently and let me hear from you how things turn
out.
Many
daughters have done well, but you excel them all. Charm is deceitful
and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall
be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise
her in the gates. (Prov. 31:29-31)
