We are Daughters of the King

We may not wear a crown upon our head,
and we may not sleep in a royal bed,
But if we have done these things,
We are daughters of the King.

When of our sins we repent,
and confess that Christ was sent,
our Savior from sin to be,
and know that He can set us free.

If in baptism we are made clean,
and on His word we do now lean,
then we do know this one thing,
We are now daughters of the King.

We carry ourselves not with pride
But with dignity in Him we abide.
Our every word we carefully speak,
and our conduct must not be weak.

We stand not for selfish reason,
but to protect against treason,
because we do know this one thing,
We are daughters of the King.

For all must know that our Lord is right
and we defend Him with all our might.
His ways are higher than man's ways
Those who follow Him give Him praise.

For all our nights and happy days
We live to give Him honor in all our ways,
For we know this one thing,
We are daughters of the King.

If we have been faithful when this life shall end,
And around death's corner we shall bend,
We know with certainty this one thing,
We will live in heaven as daughters of the King.
